About a month ago I called the State to file a complaint on the nursing home that momma was in. well they went in to investigate. They called me from the nursing home to ask me additional questions. about when we found out that momma was allergic to latex because the nursing home said they didn't find out till 2 weeks after momma was there. I told them we had found out in 2004 when momma was in the hospital for cervical cancer. well when I got the report from the state it stated they knew from the begining and they hadnt been using latex on her. I had told them that the day after momma was admitted to the nursing home I went to visit her and take her some clothes and the bed she was on slid accross the floor when she sat on it. They told the state that it was an air mattress (it was like sitting on a raft) when momma told them that she couldnt sleep on it they called the mantanice man from home to come and change it. Which is a d#*n lie because I seen the bed when it slid because it was sitting at an angle when I told the nurse about it and she made the statement well it's locked down I will have to have them change it. Then I had complained about them not having a gown momma could wear when she got there because the one they had on her at the hospital was wet when they got her to the nursing home and they just threw a sheet over her. My Aunt had to go buy her a gown and housecoat. They told they state that the only thing momma ever wore while she was there was gowns that they provided. Which is another lie because I had to go pick up her things and I have all of her clothes that were there that has her name in them. then the whole story we got when momma died is totally different than what they told the state. They told us PT was with her they told the state that a CNA was with her. They told us they laid her on her right side they told the state they laid her on her stomache. They told us they called the DON and she brought the lift and they told the state that they called the DON and she came and was talking to momma and then sent someone to get the lift. They told us that the DON was down on her knees with her hands under mommas shoulders trying to lift her up to get an air way they told the state that they had pillows up under mommas shoulders. They told us that after momma flatlined that they got her pulse back in the 60's they told the state that when the EMT's got there momma pulse was in the 40's. They told us that they never got momma intabated but they told the state momma was intabated in the field and then re intabated at the ER. They said that momma always talked about being depressed. So I think that they are covering there butts and the state is taking up for them. I still believe its because of them my momma died. I dont think that they did they job. If they had my momma would still be alive.
