My family has been delt another huge blow!! My cousin that performed CPR on my son while he died just 6 short months ago just lost both of her in-laws in a tragic house fire. She needs to fly down to be with her husband and the airlines are saying there is no such thing as a bereavement ticket. I have heard of them before but are they for real and does anybody know which carrier may have done this in the past. She needs to fly from Washington state to California with her 3 children. Any advice would be appreciated. She wants to book her flights tomorrow and leave within the week. The airline carriers are telling her roughly $400 per ticket so times that by 5 and it is a pretty penny. Thank you in advance for any help.

I am new to this forum experience, but it seems to me we can all post fresh info in a new post whenever we want as an OP. So in that case, if a comment does not directly pertain to the original post subject matter, is this not considered hijacking, and thus disrespectful to the original poster? Am I being rule-bound or would this not make for a more civilized forum?
I have been told I will have to find a new normal. Nothing is normal. Told that I am strong but I dont want to be strong. It has been 9 weeks since I lost the other half of my heart. My sweet Tony. We had no children and very little family so I am facing this alone. So how do I find a new normal other than just being alone 24/7
