I'm new to the group, and after reading suggestions to another to get 2nd opinion b-4 surgery, I don't know where to go next.I have been to the orto group in my area, and asked for another doc there, but they insist I see this young phys assitant, and she doesn't listen,is pushy and is very hyper. After several injections,pt and meds, now last Friday introduced me to a surgeon and wanted me to schedule for the fallowing Monday, like a car salesman sz he is very busy and apts fill up fast, better take this appointment while I can. Sz need a discectomy and laminectomy and I feel railroaded. I am scheduled for discogram this week,I hear it is painful also.I feel like they are just getting all they can from my insurance company and don't even care about my pain.Should I just start from scratch and find a general practitioner and go with referral from him?I had been seeing a rhumatologist b-4 that was going no where, now my head is spinning.I want to wait for the surgery and this little twit sz if I don't they can't help me anymore, and I will need to move on,now she doesn't even want to refill any meds.Any suggestions?

I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Remember you are paying them to do a job. Most specialist have horrible bed side manors so you kinda have to brush that off. But do not let them pressure you into anything.
Good Luck, get at least 2 more opions form doctors outside of that group.
Take Care let us know how it goes
Good Luck
