I need surgery for spondylolisthesis in 3 lumbar vertebrae. I also have a herniated disc, stenosis, and spondylosis. I am a wreck. I have had 3 epidurals but didn't realize that 3 injections in 3 months meant that they really couldn't help me. My husband is recovering from knee replacement and goes back to work in 2 weeks, but because of the restrictions his doctor has given him, we are afraid he will get fired. That means no insurance, so I can't even hope to have surgery anytime soon. In the meantime, I'm just about out of my Vicodin and my family doc will only give me enough to take them one every 6 hours. Even with a TENS unit and pain meds, I feel like a trainwreck. The doctor I've seen hasn't left me with a very good feeling because if we don't have insurance, he is ready to turf me off to someone elso. So even if my husband keeps his job, I would rather find someone else. I am still wondering how to best get my hands on some stronger meds. I have all the symptoms of severe spondylolisthesis but I want a doctor who cares about me, not just his checkbook. It is sure depressing. Please let me know if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks so much.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
