I have a multitude of health problems and I'm only 52. But my spine is toast, like chalk. They say there is nothing they can do. i already have a titanium neck and have had stenosis cleanup in the lumbar region, he said he was cleaning up the lower part, but a more recent MRI showed he never did, and later he admitted he didn't. Thus the severe low back pain. Got 2 bone spures thoracis that shifts and is impenging on my spinal cord and that pian goes into my chest, then have another on my C-1 base of skull also pushing on spinal cord. and scolisis in the thoracis and lumbar region to bood with stenosis thruout and various buldging disks. I will be in this pain for the rest of my life. they have had me on morphine ER and Morphine IR for breathru pain. They just want to keep upping my medication and now want to throw in methadone on top of it all.I am scard of it. I've seen people coming off of it, and I also am scard mixing them all, oh I take xanax just at night to sleep 3 mg. I have a huge tolerance to morphine HUGE I can do 70mg iv with no problem, spread out and they look at me in shock that's if they will even give me that much, this last trip to the e.r on Sat I have 2 infections and a hole inbetween 2 toes they gave me a whopping 14 mg spreadout that did absolutely nothing for me.. What is anyones input on Methadone? Should i try it? I've been told it would work wonders for me,and help me not to take so much morphine. I'v e been told I will get high off it, and I will get severly addicted to it., and that I wont' I've heard all kinds of stuff.and seen 1st hand from a neighbor on the stuff what it can do to you, he now has had a stroke and is a mess, walking or hobbling with a cane now, and slurring his words. Any advice would be helpful. i am alone and feel very alone right now and scard, i don't know who to turn to. My fiancee died 54 months ago of a heart attack,s o we used to take care of each other now I have no one.
