I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease a while ago. Now I have sciatica. I have done all I can to heal it without surgery. Now the pain is going up my back. When I wake up in the morning before I take my pain meds it feels like it is broken in two and twisted. I am so scared because I have heard that surgery can make it worse. I don't know how much worse it can get but I don't want to find out! I have an authorization for an MRI that I am making an appointment for today. I am really scared it's going to be something awful like I will never walk again, or that I have to have surgery and there is no other option, etc. Will someone please give me some words of encouragement? I need you guys right now!!!!
