Last thursday we got our diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome. My son is high functioning, makes good grades, but his behavior and social skills leave much to be desired. The main place he acts out is at school. What I was wondering about is do I need to get the nuerological testing? We have our basic diagnosis and he does qualify for special services through the school system. They will be implementing those on Tuesday. But being a single mom, some of the costs of psychologist, allergist, etc are killing my budget. I was going to try and get him on Medicaid. I live in Mississippi. Does anyone know if further testing is required to qualify for Medicaid?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
