Adam does this thing, he will hop on one foot, make a low squealing sound, and flap his right hand along the side of his face causing the side of his face and ear to get very, very red and chapped, he will do all of this at the same time for about 45 seconds to a minute and a half, stop for a few seconds and do it all over again several times in a row, several times a day. I take mental notes and it seems like sometimes he is in a very happy situation when he does this and other times I can not make a connection with anything that may trigger it. he can be playing one minute and doing this behavior the next. It does seem to distract him from whatever he was in the middle of doing, after he is all done he will go right back to what he was doing. I am sure it is a part of the autism but I would like to know what the term for it is and if it a sensory issue or what.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
