so i called adams teacher today to remind her to get the check out of his backpack for lunch, anyways, i asked how things were going in class because the only communication we get from school in the communication book is " adam had a good day, he ate a good lunch". seriously that is all we get! so i asked her how things were going and she tells me a few things and one is that adam wants to stim at the work table, i told her that here at home i have a card that is green on one side and red on the other, stop, go. i told her that adam works best with visuals, of course she says that she is teaching him not to have to have visuals. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! seriously, what do i have to do to make them understand they can not change how he learns???? i have a feeling this is going to get ugly. can we change the way our kids learn? if they are visual learners is it possible to change them so they learn like other kids?
