I plan to take a trip in April by plane and I'm not sure what to expect from my son. He may either hate it because the airport is big and crowded or he'll like the ride of the plane itself. Needless to say tickets are expensive and I can't afford to pay for them and my son have a meltdown. They might not let us fly or worse I may not be able to get him on the plane. So if anyone has any tips or advice on what I can try that would be helpful. Tell me about your good/bad experiences. Is this something I'm supposed to address with customer service before I buy tickets? I was thinking about taking him to the airport a couple times prior to see what his reaction is and how long he can sit quietly before he get's antsy.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
