My son is 2 1/2 and just recently diagnosed. I am having a hard time trying to decipher all of the information coming at me right now. Everything I have read emphasizes over and over again - early intervention and intensive therapy. So, we are looking into two different intensive therapy programs. One uses the ABA approach and the other Floor Time. My gut is telling me to go with the Floor Time Approach - it just seems less harsh. And my son does seem to respond to me when I get down to his level and play with him "in his world." If anyone has any thoughts on this I would love to hear it :)
