Taking clothes out of dresser

Does anyone else go through this? My son takes all the clothes out of the dressers. I really dont know why he likes them empty. Does anyone else relate, or know why? Ill take any advise, Thank you!

Oli is always undoing things, he gets obsessed with knocking over stacks of play blocks and the kids at school get mad. Maybe you kids likes to see you get upset about it, like he is craving attention and then when he does that you get into the picture. go figure. You need to be very open minded to find these solutions. Good Luck!

I used to do that. Not sure why, I did like the drawers empty, they were easier to close and I felt that everything was neater that way. Except for the mounds of clothes on the floor, anyway, which i always got in a lot of trouble for. sometimes turning everything upside down pleased me, i liked the idea that i had just as much, even more access to my clothes on the floor. I wanted to do things my own way

what would happen if you told him to keep his clothes organized in piles on the floor?

Today the recycle trash got dumped out when he was loking for attention/stimulation. He used to dump it all the time , like 5 times a day, and then we hid it under the dinner table, and he forgot about it. my husband moved it to a more observable site and it was dumped.

Holly S---!!!! Do I know the clothes play. I have a girlfriend and her son does the same thing. Take the clothes out and stack them around. Sean used to play with the clothes, make stacks and then knock them over. He also would and will pretend that he is hanging out the wash. That is so funny your son does it too. I don't worry about it much I actually think its really funny. Good luck. Glad I am not alone. Hugs Denise

This is so weird! My Noah does the same thing, to everyone's dressers! Plus, he likes to take papers out of boxes too. Once he called it toys, so I think this is his way of playing, since he does not show an interest in normal toys at all. It can be a little irritating, but I just let him do it. Now, when he is done, I make him put everything back. I do this by offering something he wants. Good Luck!

Yep, mine likes to "reorganize" as I call it. However, she will also put things back after she is done. Didn't used to, she used to leave her clothes and her sister's clothes scattered all over the floor and it drove me crazy. Then, I started giving more attention to the putting it back and tried to ignore the taking it out. Then she started putting them back. Mine also does this with her toy organizers and other containers. She likes the containers when they are empty.

My Alex is only content with a disorganized house! Seems funny, but since he was little, he could pull a needle from a hay stack! Maybe that's why he still does this, it may be a game that he can comphrehend, and is so good at that he feels he can accomplish. It is rather disturbing at times, but I tell him " We need to put the clothes back, if you want to take them out again!" this works when I need the clothes up for a home visit with MHMRA, then he goes back to doing it, gotta love em!

oh yeah, DS used to totally trash his room and his closet, even taking out the closet organizer. I took everthing out of his room for about a year and slowly have been subtly returning items about ever 6 months. I'm thinking about bedside tables now. Lamps won't be for a while.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
