So, as you guys know Paul has seen an allergist. The scratch test the did showed no allergies, so they did various blood tests. Well, after me calling them today to let them know Paul was sick yet again with an ear infection, they called to get the blood results rushed to them. They then called me and said he did not respond to 2 tests. The diptheria and the some word the starts with a p that I cannot remember. They told me they faxed a request to his ped. and I needed to go and let them give Paul these 2 shots again. Basically, according to them what is happening is that his immune system is not fighting off infections like it should. I thought of 5,00 ?s once I hung up of course. Will these shots affect his development? Are they sure these shots will help him? How are they going to strengthen his immune system? Shouldn't he see an immunologist and not an allergist?? I plan on calling them in the morning to get more info from the allergist and then I was going to discuss the shots with his dev. ped. Any advice/thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated.
