To all the parents out there having trouble with their childs school, keep at it cause things will get better. I had a meeting at our daughters school today and at first, they wanted to tell me what they wanted me to know, but then when I started telling them what I already knew, they changed tunes real quick! If I can offer one piece of advise, educate yourself on your childs disorder. Arm yourself with as much knowledge as you possibily can and read everything you can get you hands on. There is a wealth of information out there on the internet, use it to your advantage. I have serveral sites that I can forward to you all, if anyone wants them. My daughter will start riding the special needs bus on Monday and they are right now at this very minute putting together a team to test and evaluate her starting Monday. The school hates noting more than a parent who is insistant. Remember, you are your childs biggest and strongest advocate. Lots of Luck to all.
