Just to let all you parents out there struggling with your Autistic children-don't give up. Im not a mother yet, but I know what it feels like to have an Autistic child around. The frustration, the crying, the lack of sleep etc...My brother is 13 years old and high functioning, yet lacking social skills. He has gone from not talking at all to never shutting up! With the help of teachers and people who care about him,he is getting better and better each year. When he was a little boy he was not even able to sit in a restaurant. Now,he orders off the menu and speaks clearly when ordering food. My point is, keep your chins up and don't give up! I tell myself everyday to not get mad at him because he really can't help some of his issues. He has come so far and I hope one day he will be even more independent. So, good luck to all you frustrated parents and don't give up hope!
