Autism / Autism Spectrum Support Group
Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests itself in markedly abnormal social interaction, communication ability, patterns of interests, and patterns of behavior. Although the specific etiology of autism is unknown, many researchers suspect that autism results from genetically mediated vulnerabilities to environmental triggers.

Thank you, mimestream! I opened a new topic to further discuss this chelating issue.
I actually did some researches on my own, couples of weeks ago, I talked with some of my friends who are Phd. and working in different labs. They told me a very discouraging news that our society has been polluted so badly it could be wasteful for all our efforts, the story that Ive been told: a couple had organic foods for 10 years, by the end their blood test results still show the same level of poison as the rest the people in the same area. Once Alex finished the detoxification medication, I wouldnt refill them any more. The metals are not terribly high in his body anyway.
Another issue is the supplement overdose, my son is only 28 pounds and I feel the supplements I am giving him is way too much (recently Dan Doc increased his cod liver oil, taurine and added DMG), not sure whether he will be able to even absorb half of them.
Up till now, the things I tried and worked on him are only GFCF diet, probiotics and fish oil, and multivitamin. NDF plus worked only at the beginning. I am still debating with myself whether I should just take off the supplements not working for him.
Acceptance for me is a survival issue of my son Alex, if he will benefit from getting a label of PDD-NOS, that is ok. If his self-esteem will be ruined by wicked wrecks, how can I leave him open to attack. (Honestly I dont really have high expectation from this society.)

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I do not do all the DAN things, and it is fine. Just gummy bear vitamins from Sams Club.
My child is in a private school that cares about his development and public school is focused on ruining the kids. That is why I went to Due Process. You may not have to expect from society, but you do need them for yourself and your kids!
I noticed you did not refer to speech therapy. Is he getting that? For us that was the therapy that made all the difference.
Alex had very nice improvement recently, he tried very hard to speak, but for certain sounds, it is just very hard for him to make. For example: zebra, he can only make the sound of /s/. I am going to get speech therapies for him.
Whereas, why does he have hard time making the sounds, I saw it naturally came to other kids.
