Although the specific etiology of autism is unknown, many researchers suspect that autism results from genetically mediated vulnerabilities to environmental triggers.

My son has been a totally different child for about three weeks now... Several things happened back then and I am trying to figure out wich one may or may not be causing his about face in attitude, 1.) Our lil dog got hit and killed, Zach saw the dog after we had brought him home , ,no blood or anything just bear lying there , he saw his eyes and asked what was wrong, and burst into tears(strange for Zach) And zahc was the one who accidentally let him out....2.) His meds were changed,But I tried putting him back onthe old meds , still behaving odd. and
3.) He had a tooth start coming loose...
I am stressed to beat all gettout having trouble with hubby, and crying quite a bit... I try to hide it , but sometimes the tention around
here you could cut with a knife... Thats another thing, is it better to keep the hubby around, zach is so attaached to him, or to get rid of the tention should we try to split???;(and add another whole problem???)IDK Im lost.... Anyhow Im at a loss... is his tooth bothering him causing this behavior, does the meds that are supposed to be outta his system by three or four, build up, and take time to remove?????Or is it his age....... Tired of crying.... Any advise? :0)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
The Med's : could be, and if you didn't wing him off the old med's slowly, and start the new ones slowly, possiably the new med's never had a chance.
The dog: Zach feels everything , just differently, and he must realize the dog is not there
The hubby: Big issue! Zach must feel the tension as well , maybe security issues. Ultimately, I believe that for boys at this age are hitting the first stage of puberity, BRACE YOURSELF, there are more stages to come...... Hugs & Prayers!
the meds...whats he taking??
like years said, ya have to go slow its hard but it helps. It is hard to fine tune dosages for Steven, but its worth the trial and error. Defenetly give the new med a chance, remember the reason why you changed meds. I know its hard cuz i do it too.
You will have more peace in the long run, just ridding out the med increase and change.
if it isnt going to work for him you will know for sure and can go from there.
Hubby and you... Im living it too its a very hard call.
all i can do there is send you support and a hug*****
Your a busy heavy hearted mom, its tough but you will make it thru, you will.
i searched that medication out, and ya know what? When steven was on a trial of meds for adhd he had a hell of a time. have you asked your doctor about risperdol?
Works real well for aggression~!
