i just wanted to let some of you know that i am well aware of the saying that kids that have autism do not have imaginations...i think it is true, BUT, Adam is living proof that they can learn to use thier imagination. when he got his castle for christmas i got on the floor and hand over hand taught him how to have a "knight fight" and do the really cool sound effects all little boys do and talk for his knights and he does this everyday and uses different scenerios so he isnt just mimicing he is using his own imagination! but, he had to be taught on his level how to use it. i dont think all kids with autism can be taught like that we are just lucky and that is one of the reasons we are going in a a re-eval to see exactly where the pros think he is on the spectrum now!
