can anyone tell me if ot,spt, and pt can be addressed in the iep. can we request certain things like stimming be addressed in a way that will not belittle the child or punish the child. i am still upset about the being punished for stimming instead of them addressing the issue like i feel they should have. stimming is a part of autism right? so i take it as stimming is something that can not be 'shut down' but must be dealt with by redirecting. can you redirect stimming if it is sensory overload and is there a medical test that can pinpoint exactly what is causing sensory overload? and then get advise from dr on how to deal with whatever the overload is?
