one other thing that they did at the iep meeting that i didnt like but had no clue about because i had never heard of it until that day, was they will put kids in a general ed class for certain subjects, social studies, science, ect and us the PASS/FAIL grading method, i asked them what that meant and they said as long as he is present and tries to participate he will pass....i didnt like the way that smelled at all and told them that in nicer words, but anyways, i told the advocate about it and she said to never, ever, under no uncertain terms, agree to the PASS/FAIL grading method unless you are positive that your childs disability will prevent them from learning the subject, and the importance of inclusion is your purpose for your child to be in said class. PASS/FAIL grading method is used for kids that are severaly disabled and its just a legal way to include them in some general ed classes and pass them through the course so the school can collect the funds for providing the instruction to a special ed child. oh, and the teacher told me today that they can modify the curicculum(i know i didnt spell that right, Grant, where is the spell checker????) but they cant modify the instruction, they would have to have two teachers in the class if a child needed different instruction, my exact reply to her was "and?" so what, thats not a legal reason to keep a child out of general education! so i just wanted to pass that along, anything i learn new i will post for everyone to learn about!

If you're 18 or older, have experience with exposure therapy or want to, and...
