I do the diet for Sean and have been for 3 years now. Sean is allergic to wheat so really no choice. I think initially it helped him. Sean is verbal now wasn't when we started the diet. I am not really sure if he started speaking due to the diet or just maturity. One will never really know. Everyone has different reactions from the diet. I do know that if you are going to start the diet you need to do it for at least 6 months before you see any real progress and want to access the situation. That is what our DAN doctor told us. It can't hurt to give it a whirl though. The diet will seem tough in the begining, but it really isn't that tough. You can get everything you need at whole foods or a health food store, even online shopping is good. A good site is gluten free pantry, because your special is another. Good luck if you need any help I am around. Hugs Denise

Hi, I did do the diet for my son who is 5 Mark. I did casien first and then the gluten..I did it for wel over 6 months and saw no difference. I also did the Omega 3.6.9 vitiams, that did nothing but break out his face! I did the thera-nu vitiam supplment again nothing....I did buy three-lac yeast remover i have not tried it yet. I will say the money you spend on the diet is $$$$ and the difference you see is little to nothing. Some mothers at his school also did it with no results... Has any one done the yeast remover or DMG/vit.B?

Well, I have done the yeast remover, DMG, B-12 injections done them all. Its so hard to know what worked and what didn't. The B-12 made Sean crazy and we had to stop that. I do the nystatin and have seen it make him more stimmy, but I know that is supposed to happen when the yeast is being removed, did the DMG and stopped that because it did make Sean really stimmy and very very hyper. Who knows what works I try things and I do see a lot of improvments with my son, but I don't know what is the contributing factor. That is the problem with all this stuff, who knows what works. Could be that it doesn't work and just maturity for my son, could be the medication he is on, could be the diet, could be the supplements. Who knows, but I do it all and try it. The diet for Sean is not even an option. Have to do it because he is legitamately allergic need to carry an epi pen. So good luck. Denise

I've not done it whole hog. My son seems fine with gluten. But I've noticed that if I limit the amount of Dairy he consumes, he's less hyper. He's calmer. But he's a huge consumer of dairy in general.

I am still investigating the antiviral antifungal medications. If I do decide, it will have to wait until the summer when my husband has six weeks off. i've heard that some children get a little out of sorts with it.

We did this diet for four years, from age two through six. We found it very effective in the first few years, my son had a lot of wonderful progress on it. He's still dairy-free for the most part, because he has a moderate dairy allergy. He does eat wheat, though, and we didn't notice a huge regression when we added it back to his diet. We did so slowly, and after four years on the diet his gut had healed.

Hope all you kiddies enjoyed the Wildcard games (I did not). We now move onto the Divisional games. These are worth 4 points each and an extra 4 points for picking the winner AND the total points scored in that game. Not an easy task. Think it was hit last year twice (Wingman can tell you better then me). We have 4 games to play this week. Not going to be easy either. Here are your...

So get your thinking caps on and make your picks. Just remember these games are worth 2 points each and 1 for each games' total points correctly picked and I...
