Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests itself in markedly abnormal social interaction, communication ability, patterns of interests, and patterns of behavior. Although the specific etiology of autism is unknown, many researchers suspect that autism results from genetically mediated vulnerabilities to environmental triggers.

Okay I know having a puppy is like having another child, but will it help my son? I have the option of adopting a puppy (yellow female lab) my son met her and was so loving and endearing to her it brought tears to my eyes, so should I get the puppy? Will it help him at all? Will it be too much for him? I watched him protect her from all the other puppies, he fed her food one piece at a time, he put his hand out for her to sniff, and he said "love you puppy" he grabbed a leash to take her for a walk, could having a puppy help him? Any advice?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I handpicked this puppy for her temperment out of a litter.I would make sure that the puppy will put up with sudden movements , noises, and be comfortable being picked up and loved on by the child.
Found Banjo (chow/newfoundland) mix at the shelter. He is the most wonderful, tolerant, loving dog you could wish for.Max went from loving him to terrorizing him.....:-) Banjo takes it all in his stride.
Max loves the theme tune to "Cops" and does his Reaggie dance when he sings it. Just yesterday Banjo was having a crazy 10minutes. Running around the house like a Tazmanian Devil and Maxie starts singing " Bad dog bad dog what ya gonna do what ya gonna do when they come for you" I was laughing fit to burst.
hope you find the right puppy for your family!!!

Kris
PS: I had a terrible appt. and when I got home to my dog, she didn't go w/ me for that (mistake) and she calmed me down w/ in about a minute after I was having a meltdown for about 2 hours... a really bad one and panic attacks, etc. She is like the best medicine and just my angel.
