can that happen? can a child be dx'd with autism at 3 and then at 6 be re-evaluated and dx'd with aspergers? Adams ot came tonight and spent time with us and she is very concerned that Adam needs a new eval and says she is would not be surprised if his dx was changed to aspergers? i love this lady! i have told her all about all the help i get from all my dear friends here at DS, and she is very concerned with Adams current IEP and is sending a SP to re-eval him AND hooking me up with an EXTREMELT experienced advocate to hold my hand through getting Adam transitioned into an inclusive class. She is also setting us up with a behavior assesment as well. i am so happy! but is that possible, from autism to aspergers?
