If you are a caregiver with limited income, or even if the income isn't limited there is a program called Angel Food Ministries. It is available in several states. For $30 you get a box full of food that they claim will feed the average family of 4 for 1 week. There is different types of chicken, ribs, beef. Each box alway includes a dessert item which varies from a blueberry muffin mix to a french silk pie. The web site is www.AngelFoodMinistries.com. They also accept food stamps. Depending on the distribution site, which is usually a church, you order and pay for your food in the 1st half of the month and pick up at the end of the month. There are also add ons that are available for $15-$20 each. You can order as many units as you want of any of the items, the only requirement is you get 1 $30 unit. Check them out, they are a wonderful faith-based program.
