Autism / Autism Spectrum Support Group
Autism is classified as a neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests itself in markedly abnormal social interaction, communication ability, patterns of interests, and patterns of behavior. Although the specific etiology of autism is unknown, many researchers suspect that autism results from genetically mediated vulnerabilities to environmental triggers.

As a Mother new to Autism, I always find myself looking for encouraging words to say to myself and family everyday, so we have possitive thoughts even when we are fighting to understand this new change in our lives.
And I was thinking that most likely I'm not different from all the other mothers and fathers with a child with Autism so I wanted to send some Encouraging words to them.
If you feel like replying or re posting some please feel free, We all could go for some encouraging words every once and awhile.
I hope you enjoy this.

Having a child with autism means never taking anything for granted. We all become more patient, wise, loving and incredibly strong.Every piece of puzzle we fit together feels like a piece of heaven.Even if its just your child looking into your eyes or holding your hand.

Well, having children with autism means that everyday is filled with a new experience. Knowing that there love for you and your for them is more special than that of a typical love you have for someone else. Thank you for this post sometimes things get a little cloudy. Hugs Denise

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
