My severely autistic 8 year old son has been eating some many different non food items. If I get rid of one thing he has decided he liked to eat he quickly finds anohter. He has ate crayons, playdoh, glue, plants, candles, make-up, deoderant, hair and the list goes on. I don't know how to get him to stop. I am not sure he understands when I talk to him so that doesn't work and locking things up doesn't work because he will find something else. I have even given him special chewies hoping that will prevent the behavior, still no luck. Please help me I don't know what he might try next, I worry about him eating something toxic.
