Azaria is doing very well. She has eaten a little. The problem is, the foods they want her to eat i.e jello, pudding, ice cream...she won't eat b/c of her sensory problems. I got her to eat some cream of wheat...she had a couple of bites today...she still hasn't shown much interest in eating, but she's coming around. She smiled today when she saw my oldest daughter Kazmira. First smile in a LONG time...it almost made me cry...she was moved out of PICU and into the pediatric ward this morning...I think she likes it better there...I managed to get her to walk around today...she is almost completely off the pain meds now, and is off the drip all together...she has lost a total of 12 lbs...she is so thin and frail looking...she only weighs 18lbs now...i look at her and I want to cry. The doc says once she can handle it, we'll start the high calorie diet, and she'll gain the weight back...he says that she'll be here for at least another week mainly because she lost so much weight...like, whenever I pick her up, I feel like I'm going to break her...she's tall for her age...almost 3 feet, and only 18lbs...I don't know...I'm so tired!!! I haven't slept more than 3 hours a night in about a week...I'm going to try to sleep now...I have to leave the hospital before Azaria wakes to bring Kazmira to school and drop Zajanah off at my moms, then get back to the hospital before Azaria wakes up...nite girls!
