I had my ablation on August 6th and since then I have had 4 long A-Fib episodes that last for 20 to 24 hrs each time. My EP has now advise me to take 25 mg of toprol when I go in these episodes only. Otherwise just to take 120 mg of Sotalol 2 time daily. I am so frustrated because my heartrate just goes from 60 to 140 in no time, and stays between 105 to 150 for close to 24 hrs. without stopping. I am keeping a journal to see if any food intake contributes it. Right now I am narrowing to sodium and preservatives. My EP says to be patience and he has a good feel that these are only temporary. I have my next appt. Sept 2. Keeping my fingers close. My last episode happen last night around 7PM and didn't stop till 4 PM today. I just ate slice of pizza and 1 piece of pepperoni stroboli before it happen. Now I am watching closely Has anyone have these occurence with food?

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
