xolair?

has anyone had side effects or allergic reactions?
i had allergic reactions when i was first on it years ago.

i had my first dose last month(lower dose this time).
i've notice everyday i've been sneezing at least four times a day and that never really happened.
does that happen with anyone else? it's really no big deal but i am going to bring it up to my dr.

i think with this cold weather, my asthma has been doing ALOT better. i've been going out more as well

Hmm...been on Xolair since November 2007. Never had that happen to me. I find it is what keeps me going. I just had a shot and prior to it, I was finding a slight decrease in breathing and a huskiness to my voice. Since the shot, those symptoms are mostly improved.

I agree, mention it to your doctor. Wondering though Neener, besides the sneezes, sounds like it is helping your asthma, right?

I've heard, through my "injection nurse" that you definitely can have a reaction to it although she's never seen one. Since you had a reaction, it must be very scary to want to try this again. I give you lots of credit for that!! Good luck with it!

yea when i had allergic reactions years ago, they didnt know all the side effects or much about xolair, it was relatively new.
we found out recently everything i experienced was allergic reaction.

idk im trying a few different and new things so to pinpoint one thing as helping would be hard. even before the last dose, it took three diff. times to get me restarted cus i was sick each time. i think its the cold weather helpign with the asthma but hopefully itll continue. at this point im willing to try everything and anything

I totally understand trying everything and anything to get healthy. I think that's why I went on Xolair in the first place. Crazy, this asthma is, sometimes. I'm slowly trying to back off some things...like these annoying air purifiers. I went to my brothers for a few nights where he didn't have them. I slept in a room where I saw dust. Despite it all, I was feeling great. Well, I came home and turned my air purifiers off at night and as I described, some symptoms started up so on they went! Now, with the Xolair, I'm totally feeling well again. I still think dust is my number one enemy so I'll just have to keep up the dust fight. Grr! Asthma is such a crappy chronic disease (among others!).

oooh i can def. relate to that. im slowly trying to get off other meds as well.
the ones that ive noticed no difference(bad or good).

I had a very very bad reaction to xolair. Please tell your Dr about what you are feeling before you get your next dose. I was hoping it would be the miracle drug for me but it almost cost me my life.

oh i can relate to that too. the first time i was on it i had to do my emergency inhaler whenever i sneezed and i wound up being intubated as well, thats when we stopped it.
after that i had no problems when i sneezed.
this time i have no problems as well

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
