Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.

I am wheezing like an old woman on 80 a day, which is usually a sign of winter setting in. I think I might need to go back to the doctor and have my inhalers looked at since I dont really take anything now as I havent had an asthma attack for 4 years (touch wood) so I stopped taking them. I've been much better since I stopped smoking but I sound terrible this evening and it seems to have come out of nowhere. My chest hurts quite a lot and the wheezing is really bad. Am praying it wont turn into a full blown attack as my last one was frightening. Will go back to docs asap.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My lecture was about not using my maintenance inhaler, and what happens to your lungs. I've been OK about using it now that I've had my lecture. LOL! Good luck at your doc appointment. I hope you can be re stabilized again.
