Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.

Had my CT this afternoon. They didn't breathe or hint a thing. So I have to wait until the 16th for the results. My doctor is an absolute stickler for never telling you anything over the phone. I am on predinose taper until the 16th too so that is why the f/u app. was originally scheduled. Well let you all know then. Thanks,
Joy

I am 17 and currently still seeing my pediatrician so obviously I am going to need to find a new Doctor next year. I would like my doctor to be specialised in lungs so I feel like I'm working with someone who really knows how to care for me not someone who just does everything. Any ideas on what kind of doctor I should see?

A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...
Well, of course I tried to download it on my computer as soon as I got home but did not have the program to read it. I felt like a school kid who is given a sealed note to take home to his parents.
At my visit though, I was given a print out of the results. It is frustrating having to wait though.
Good luck,
Tom
BTW,
Mine disclosed that I had a slightly enlarged thyroid. I was then referred to the ENT doc who ordered another CT scan and a videostroboscopy. It turned out that my thyroid will ot require any surgery but that I do have dysphonia, a vocal cord disorder. They figure it is neurological so I just have to live with it.
Oh well, that's not too bad. I just go around sounding like Darth Vader.
I am relieved that it's over. I hope you hear something oon.
