when something does not go right for my daughter such as a tower of legos falling apart she freaks out about it like a 2 or 3-year-old. it obviously concerns me because i do not see this behavior in other kids her age (she will be 7 in January). Is this a part of asperger syndrome?? does anyone's child do this as well? i still have to make an appt for her to get checked but in the meantime i am going crazy myself with her moods and episodes. It isnt all the time and seems apparent when she is tired, but still. She also NEVER listens - she wants to do what she wants to do and gets too focused on some things and just CANNOT be interrupted (mainly the computer or doing a craft). I can tell my other younger children to do something and they will (eventually) do it but my oldest just wont - she fights me tooth and nail and daydreams, dawdles, etc. This could just be her or a 7-year-old behavior - but i dont think so. Ive tried many methods - will do the behavior chart again. But I am really at my wits end.
