I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. On a happer not Aspergers has a broad spectrum and one can achieve as much or more than a Norm. I came from a poor working class background left school classified as slow even lazy. But have gained two degrees and qualified as a Lawyer practising for for 17 years in commercial work. Now at Uni studying creative writing.
So even if the children are Aspies its not the end of the world OK.
Another thing I have heard..trauma during pregnancy...My Abusive EX Husband kicked me in the stomach..hoping I would spontaneously abort.
I have Asperger's. It is 80% genetic and 20% environmental roughly (twin studies suggest this). From what I know, an AS parent might have 1:8 of their offspring also have AS, and if both parents are AS, then 1:4 approx. Mum and Dad were AS, and 3/10 of their children have it. It's nothing to freak out over - I love AS, my AS son, everything about it. It is alot of work for Mum's who go freaky over a simple difference though. So don't, eh.
ie. no name calling.
Thank you
but then it's a love/hate relationship with engineers. Sometimes ya wonder what in the heck they're thinking when they create a spot in a machine that ya JUST CAN'T CLEAN! :( :)
