My Asperger's son (14/15) and i are trying to relocate to a new place. We have had the property for about 2 months but his anxiety is so bad we can only manage daytrips there. He is really struggling to break out of his set routine at his current home and enviroment, and step into unknown territory and to recreate a new routine. We are lucky to be able to keep a presense in his old place , so he could effectively have his old routine part of the week, and create a new one in the new place. Maybe that is the problem , in taht he has the old comfortable routine still available to him. Has anyone else experienced a move with an Aspie? Could really do with some thoughts on this.
