for many years my parents subsidized our family. thank the lord! we had a most excellent life - if material things are a happy - they ooozed lots of love; to make up for the zero we got from his family. Anyway lately I've needed his contribution and every bill is a battle. I work but don't make much - since '99. He's retired and received benefits approx twice my salary!! True the house is from my first marriage and I've kept it in my name as he really has contributed to its maintenance or cost. Any one also doing battle with their AS? This is so strange as my first husband and I shared bank accounts, possessions, and if he didn't date we would still be married. even after the no fault divorce we divided without lawyers. and helped each other
