Jacob seems addicted to carbs.. He will only eat corn for a vegetable and all the rest of his foods are mainly pasta, bread, cheese, fries. He wont eat any red meat at all except a fastfood cheeseburger and wont eat any chicken or pork or fish. He will eat hot dogs and bacon and ham but I recently switched to turkey bacon instead of the pork bacon due to his 20 pound weight gain over the winter. He hasnt seemed to notice too much but he could eat almost a pd. of bacon by himself before. I've also switched to no sugar added products to try and cut down his sugar intake not that this affects his behavior one way or the other it never has but for the simple fact diabetes runs in both side of the family. Is anyone elses children with AS addicted to carbs and fixated on only certain foods?? I cant seem to break it with Jacob. He used to eat everything when he was a baby and now he's so limited to what he will eat its crazy. I used to cater to his eating habits but I have had to stop doing that it just became too much making 2 meals every night. Has anybody had any success on getting their children to eat new things???

My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
