I have a six year old who is in kindergaeten. he is extremely smart but has trouble with social situations. he has "meltdowns" in school and has recently tried to run out of the building in the middle of an episode. He is being evaluated by the school which is taking long and they are not forth coming with paying for tests that would help him. I have done some research on asperger's and he exhibitsd many of the behaviors. I am looking ahead and wonder if anyone can give me guidance about what services he would need should he be diagnosed. Any info would be great especially from people who have been through similar situations. I want to be mor einformed when I go to the school PPTs so they do not railroad me.
