I am a Vet and get all of my treatment from the local VA hospital annex. When I went in for the initial exam by the orthopedist, he was young enough to be my son!!!! I will admit, however, that he was very up front about treatment, but was not very good at completely explaining to me what my condition means. He said we could use oral meds first, then steroids and finally surgery!! How long does the process take and why are the meds no longer working? I have only seen them once in the past 3 years!!!
