I have had terrible shoulder pain for a very long time, getting worse, particularly as I have to do a lot of shopping for my mother as well as myself and it just seems to aggravate it so much. I have never had it diagnosed - was told by a doc years ago to go to a physio privately. She couldnt think what was wrong - but gave me some exercises which do help modify the pain.
This must be 15 years or more that it has been bad, but getting worse now. Is this naturally arthritis, do you thnk? I used to take arthrotec but that has been withdrawn here in U.K. and any other inflammatories upset my stomach. I tend to think that going to the doctor will do no good as they will only suggest anti-inflamatories and I cant take these because of stomach problems - should I go do you think? I have neck problems too, but keep all these at bay by stretching exercises and a massager.
What good could diagnosis do? thank you..:0)

have u ever had any tests done such as x-rays or ct scan etc to see what is goin on in there. i would suggest u do this so that u can find out what it is and then try to find a treatment that helps u. it may not even be arthritis. good luck :)

OArthritis can show on X-rays and RAathritis can show in blood test. Sometimes i find you need to see a dr several times about the one problem before you can get to the bottom of it. I can really understand your flustrations. Once the problem has been investigated (tests, scans etc)and identified proper treatment can help if its OA or RA. Good luck.

I took AQuatherapy and manuel therapy for my arthritis. Ihave it in my neck, spine, shoulders. The manuel therapy is theraputic massage and believe me it is not like goig to the spa to ge a massage. They work on particular muscles tht are bothering you. Im stiff as a board because of gurading my pain with bad posture. My insurance paid for my therapies. Might wantto check into this. Good luck andi hoep you feel better

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
