I'm 35 years old. The problem is in my ankle, which they did surgery on only to tell me it was diagnosed wrongly. Since then, I've been going to the same rheumatologist for over a year. I've taken Enbrel, Humira, Methotrexate, Celebrex, and most recently Orencia. I feel no difference in pain. But other problems have popped up since.
I now have recurring inflammation in my knees. I've had my knee drained once a week for the last 5 weeks. Each time, the doctor pull 40 - 50 cc's of fluid from each knee.
I've had fluid in the shin area of my right leg and the doctor told me it was a baker cyst that ruptured. Now I have the same problem in my left leg and she's telling me it's another baker cyst.
I'm wondering if all my problems are not arthritic at all and if there's something else creating all of these situations.

By all means go see a different dr. It took me 4 years of dr shopping before I found someone who listened to my expalantion of my pain. He helped me!!!! The drigs can only mask the pain, but after a while even they do not work. I find aleve helps the best but I can only take a small dose of it. When my journey began I too took Vioxx, and it helped BUT you know what happened to that. I am no medical dr but I would give an orthopedic dr a try, my rhuem dr said I did not have arthritis, but then why does the ortho guy say I do? At least I am now on the right track. I wish you well and do not be afraid top ask questions, I have found lots of good info on the net...wikipedia being a very good start. At least they give expalantions in plain old English in lay terms so you can understand. I go there before I make any move now. Good luck...lorelei

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
