I am 51 years old with severe arthritis in my knees it takes me 4-5 times to get to my feet from my bed my caregiver suggested a hospital bed would be adventageous (sp?) the insurance company said they would cover it with a predetermination letter from the doctor the nurse said they were hard to come by but that doesn't mean impossible right? in the event of a fire i would be in dire straights right? mcate

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
