Arrhythmias Support Group
Cardiac arrhythmia is a group of conditions in which the muscle contraction of the heart is irregular or is faster or slower than normal. Some arrhythmias are life-threatening medical emergencies that can cause cardiac arrest and sudden death. Others cause aggravating symptoms, such as an awareness of a different heart beat, or palpitation, which can be annoying.

Hi all. I have had heart palpitations for years now and the doctors don't know or can't find what it is. Well ALL DAY TODAY my heart has been missing beats all the time. I feel as though my heart is in my lower throat. It isn't like it normally is where it is like a butterfly having a fit and then stopping and then THUMPING back in my chest. This time its just beat after beat that isn't normal. It is taking my breath away. We as a family are under stress at the moment as we are going through a custody battle and have been working on stuff today so could it just be stress that is doing this. I'm only 37 but I feel 80. I am so incredibly tired all the time. Does any of this sound like anyone else and if so what have you been diagnosed with. Thanks in advance. Please anyone!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I was diagnosed with Aterial Fibrillation A-Fib..
I know what you mean about the thumping, I am just the same, its better when Im busy, when Im walking the dogs I can hardly feel them but as soon as I sit down they are really bad.
Hang in there, there are thousands of us all going through the same thing.
Have a look on medhelp.org then click on heart rhythms, you will see how many people are affected.
Good Luck.
