I have been on Xanax since Oct of last year. I started at 3 tabs a day 1mg, then a different Dr told me to take 4 a day same 1 mg. I talked to a friend the other day and they told me that Xanax was just a temp fix, and is only supposed to be taken for not more then 3 months, and only 3 mg's a day. I like Xanax, it makes me feel better and I take it at times I dont have anxiety. I take it like one would with blood pressure meds or cholesterol pills. Its just become a part of my life. Now a different Dr has stepped in and thinks that I shouldnt be on it. I dont get it. If it works, even though addictive, why wein me off of it, if thats what they decide to do when it works? Ya I agree its considered the " HollyWood Drug" but if it does the job, then why change it? Anyone ever been on Xanax and go through this?
