i am out of my mind right now with anxiety... i need something that is going to make my mind stop racing that will work FAST. any ideas?

no- and i have been calling around all day trying to find someone who will see me and prescribe something right away. i am driving myself and my family crazy!

Breathe. Inhale deeply. Hold your breath for a second or two. Then exhale and let everything out. Repeat as necessary. While you do this, focus on one part of your body. Start with your big toe. Just think about your big toe for a little while. Then focus your thoughts on your ankle. Keep breathing while you're doing this. After your ankle, think about your shin, then you knee. Keep doing this for each part of your body, right and left separately. Don't go fast, slow down and just focus all your thoughts on one thing at a time. It's a weird exercise, but it will help you calm down. After 20 or 30 minutes, your heart tate should go down enough to feel better.
