A few months ago some crazy stuff happened to our new house that was very stressful. There were several incidents within a couple weeks of each other. Then my husband had to have surgery (mild, but still). Around that same time I started developing stomach pains, acid reflux, and finally a tightened throat that comes and goes. When it's bad, it feels like I'm going to choke. When it isn't as bad, it's just annoying and feels like something tight is around my throat. I've had many tests done: blood, x-rays, upper GI barium series, endoscopy. No major medical issues. All the GI doc could come up with is that my throat looks a little narrower than normal, but he couldn't say that that was what was causing all my symptoms, which literally came on suddenly and out of nowhere. I've always been an anxious person - worrier, quick to react, negative and cynical, so I'm wondering if what's going on is related to anxiety and I can fix it, or should I be searching out other doctors to find a possible medical explanation for my annoyingly tightened throat? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
