Tomorrow I have an appointment to go and observe a student in a classroom. This is nothing new for me -done it many times over but I just get really anxious about this out of my routine thing. To help make this whole thing a little less anxious-filled, I've picked out my outfit for the morning, I have my plan for the observation, I've been doing soothing soft-talk to keep myself calm but I still feel real antsy and probably will continue to feel antsy until I'm actually there at the school. What are things that other people here do to calm themselves?

I hate anticipation and waiting. Have not found a tip that works for me.

Im exactly the same, i have to do presentations at big meetings every couple of months and the anticipation anxiety is the worst! I always seem to get through them ok though and no-one seems to notice i'm a gibbering wreck underneath my paradoxically calm facade. I just try and remind myself that I always manage it and that anxiety cannot actually harm me in any way (no matter how bad it feels!) If I was just asked to do it a few hours before that would be fine!

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
