I had a panic attack recently..I finally recognized it for what it was. I didnt feel it coming on...I know Ive been avoiding thinking about my situation (recently separated). I went to lay down and everything crowded in on me at once. Being alone, all the changes, worries about the future..well within 3 minutes or so I was terrified. I didnt know whether to call 911 or what. I had a terrible burning sensation in my chest and could not breath it seemed. I went outside on the deck (had to get out) and proceeded to calm myself down..it took about 15 terrifying minutes. Does anyone else get panic attacks like this? I am just realizing what is happening to me...and yes Ive had them before. I never see them coming..it is so frightening. I am wondering if avoidance of dealing with emotions is the main cause of my panic attacks...I also have anxiety I think..I try to avoid thinking about that too...what are anxiety symptoms and how can you have it all day as Ive read on here. Maybe I do too...

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
