This is driving me crazy. On and off for the last 2-3 months I have been getting short of breath, like I have to take a deep breath purposley. It is driving me crazy. I don't know if it is from anxiety or something else. I know you can get shortness of breath with panic but I feel fine most of the time and someitimes it is my only physical symptom. Does anyone relate and/or have suggestions for getting past this??

Yes. I get this alot. I just try to ignore it cause the more you pay attention to it the worse it gets. Focus on other things you are doing. Bob

Yeah, I get this too. I've found that vitamin B12 shots or tablets can help sometimes. It's a symptom that kinda feels worrying, but it's all just part of that lovely package of symptoms that make up our anxiety and/or panic disorder. :-|

I have been getting this very same thing lately. It's like all of the sudden I have to stop and take a breath or i'll suffocate. I was letting that take me to full blown episode but am getting better at it with self talk. Telling myself that "no, I'm not going to die and have a heart attack. I just need to relax for a few minutes and concentrate on slow breathing." That seems to be helping me. and i hear ya, it does drive ya crazy huh? every day a new journey! Hang in there

No your far from alone on this one .. it will pass !! i can promise you this ... but try to ignore it ..keep your mind focused else where not on your symptoms .. follow a path that makes you feel Happier or more so relax'd!!! if you relax your mind ... you can relax the Anxiety symptoms when your breathing acts up? do breathing excersises breath in threw your mouthy and exhale out your nosey..!!

Yes, I have gotten this sympton many times without any other symptoms accompanying it. I have learned to ignore it mostly, though sometimes its hard. I wish you luck. Many know how you feel.

I’m really struggling. I skipped work Tuesday. I had a panic attack on the way there. I went in today. Still absolutely terrified, but I did alright. I like my job and the people I work with. Well, as much as I can, with my emotions being so bad. Point is, the job isn’t the problem. For some reason I got really low tonight. So anxious. About work and school. Especially school. It’s almost...

I have noticed recently that when I feel an attack coming that I pat myself like you would a baby. Soft and steady. I remember doing this after surgery cause I would feel anxious going to sleep because of the anesthesia. Does anyone else do this? I had to tonight feeling apprehensive and stuck. I coupled it with deep breathing as well. Also, do any of you tense your bodies up and not notice until...
