What are some of the best ways to build your self esteem and confidence. I have always had low self esteem and lack confidence probably due to my high levels of anxiety that I have dealt with my whole life. I know that when I exercise my self esteem is better, so I have to start exercising again. But what else have any of you done to help improve your self esteem? I could use the tips and advice.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. Another thing I did years ago with a great group of friends...each of us would write something nice about the other people in the group. Each person go their own piece of paper. When everyone was done, you got your paper with several nice things written on it. Most of the time, they were things you would have never recognized on your own. One persone liked my sweater. Another person said I had a nice smile. That was probably 15 years ago but I still remember it!
Maybe take up a class that will test your abiltiies and perserverence, like rock climbing, kickboxing, or karate. I think those kinds of classes do a lot to make you feel like you can take on the world!!
