Distraction technichniques are somewhat helpful.
Watching a good movie is a distraction technique.
When you do this you realise you can't. But its the opposite of fighting it and trying to keep a grip of yrself which just perpetuates and worsens the anxiety. Since I discovered this my anxiety has improved no end.
